"OUT of STATE and IN-SIGHT"
What's good everybody today I'm really excited about this one because I've been following this artist for a while now and honestly I'd say for a few years and also because this our very first out of state coverage. I guess you can say I caught wind, with all puns intended. Finally, get a chance to cover it, this artist goes by the name of Curci of CONSCIOUS MINDS, and man this guy's pure fire and his sound is so smooth. I've heard a few of his projects and I haven't found one I don't like so far but we will get into that in a bit. He identifies as a Hip Hop artist which I think is pretty valid, he definitely gives off some serious vibes in relation to versatility. Curci is from Fort Collins and tells me that he has been releasing music since 2012 but didn’t gain success until his third mixtape releases in 2014, called Forever Summer. Not to mention the multiple projects he's dropped since then and that's four to be exact. He's sold multiple CD-disks across the world, has toured through the US and Europe as well. I also will add that Curci has worked with some of Chicago's elite artists such as
on a track called Pirates and a track with
called Video Games which both were in 2018. You can find his music on all platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Youtube.
Q&A's
Where do you want to take your music, like how far are you trying to go?
Eventually, I want to become a household name and have music that will far outlast my lifetime.
I like to hear things like this from the artist because it shows how well rounded they are beyond music and it ties into life and legacy, so that's dope.
How long would you say you've been doing music?
I started writing lyrics when I was 8.
Sound's like he started early with music so I guess you can say he was destined for this and I'm sure he's made his adult self proud so far.
Top 5 favorite artists? (no order needed)
J. Cole, Kanye West, John Legend, Wale & Amy Winehouse
I like the line-up, you can definitely see some of the influences in his music. That's a good thing when you got a different ear for music because you can perfect and develop a better sound in the craft and it shows with his projects.
Let's jump right in, Curci just dropped a new visual with
called Who Do You Love, which is a huge statement. The video is really visually appealing, I could re-watch it over and over. Great sceneries that tie right in with the lyrics, the graphics with the flowers and the trippy effects just compliment everything. The whole song is pretty soothing to listen to. It speaks of tapping into the reason why we're put here on this big green earth which is to love. His wordplay gives some strong imagery so with that being said go see for yourself and check it out below.

Most recent Visual
Beetlejuice (Official Video)
The video takes place in a restaurant and it actually gets pretty interesting.
as the artist start's to spit, you can see the people around him compelled to dance as the song progresses. He gets into storytelling with his life and it definitely gets detailed from up's and downs along with some of his wildest dreams coming true. I like the video because he's in what it looks to be a really fancy restaurant and everyone gradually gets lit as fuck including the staff, literally not one dull moment. At one point there's like serval people getting hit in the head with beer bottles. which was pretty funny and it looks like they all had fun. Curci definitely tapped into his artistry with the energy in his visuals, Chicago sees it man, as well as the world.
