Kidd Pryde - Speak My Peace

Updated: May 17, 2020

The artist Kidd Pryde is not new to the scene but for those of you who don't know he's from the westside of Chicago, Austin area. I just have to say I've been telling people the westside is completely underrated in my opinion but let's get into why we're here. Pryde of Rexx Gang dropped a visual for his track called Speak My Peace and that's exactly what he covers. You can hear he's got mad punchlines, metaphors, and some dope wordplay. The visual definitely resonates with people who wanna make a way to the top through the everyday struggles. You hear the hunger and how passionate he is about it because it's actually his life. Like certain parts, with much respect, he actually gets pretty detailed on a family loss where you kind of feels his pain. That's just what makes me want to listen to it more. That adds depth to the artist and that's why I think he will last. so definitely peep the link below.

I had a few questions for Pryde and it went on like this.

Any New Projects?

Time Cant wait!

What was going through your mind when making Speak My Peace?

Something needed to be put into the universe, you feel me.

Favorite Line

I got a lot of stress I need to get off my chest, a rookie in the game but ima cop me a Vette, my last relationship was like Jody Yvette, actin like a baby, boy I can't wait for what's next...

To me, that line was some solid wordplay. You hear themes of goals, personal life and movie references. That right that is exactly what builds the imagery for the listener. That's a pure art form and is very much for the culture. Not only has Pryde dropped good music he's also stepped foot on.

and more. It's kind of a big deal. Check it out.

To me in all honesty and no bias at all, I think he definitely won this battle and it seems obvious in my opinion but there's probably one guy that came close. He represented Chicago strong and even more for the westside. Although he didn't advance to the next round Pryde is definitely on his way to heights so keep on the lookout.

How was your experience with Top Shelf?

Hot97 showed me love, they flew me out, covered everything. It was a great opportunity on a legendary platform. A lot of people wish for a prominate radio station where the legends be at and it was a humbling honor.

Come On WiD It

This would be more of the catchy hit side to the artist but definitely shows how diverse he is as far as music. Nowadays I think that's needed to switch up when waves occur. You can also pull different audiences that way.
